I have a very good bicycle. It was made by a young South African many years ago.
I hadn’t ridden it for many years, and it took a bit of practice to get used to it again.
It was very exciting when I finally felt ready to take it out into the world.
After a local ride or two, in rain
and shine
I prepared for a great expedition.
This map, made by Ellie, shows where I went.
You can see the postcards that I sent to my friends. I also sent some vegan clotted cream to Bimbo, and a flatpack harp to Dillion.
I didn’t always know where I was. As a matter of fact, I never knew where I was, though the CROESO I GYMRU sign helped.
I was aiming to get to the seaside, and eventually I succeeded. I camped in the dunes.
I swam in the sea, and made sand-castles.
It was a never-to-be-forgotten experience.
I must get back on my bicycle again when the weather gets a bit warmer.
