courgette charades

(Ellie’s idea)

We’re all playing a Zoom game of courgette charades, to take our minds off missing Tom and wondering where on earth he is.

These are all films.

Pretend that you can’t see my friends and me – we’re just arranging the courgettes.

Ruffy was pleased that his favourite painting was a suitable background for his scene.

Gibbs made his train arrive and stop at the box. The bigger courgette got out of the train, and the other one ran towards it. The two courgettes gave the impression of being very pleased to see each other.

Strawberry says the potatoes are part of the landscape in her scene. She cleverly climbed up, and raised the tomato slowly behind the courgette.

This is my film. I think you’ll get this straight away.

If you need a clue, imagine the red peppers tapping together three times.

Lopsy thinks hers is very funny.

Jenny’s film is also an old one. Even older than Lopsy’s, in fact.

You have to pretend that Jenny isn’t there – no one is holding the courgette.

Points’ charade was quite exciting to watch. She’d got her courgette up to the top of a very big flight of stairs, I don’t know how. And then she gave it a shove, and it fell all the way down, bump bump bump down all the steps.

It’s another old film, black and white. But of course, Points being Points, it’s a bit more serious than Jenny’s.

Bimbo said his film wasn’t as distressing or scary, but actually the bit of it that he chose is very tense indeed, if you know what’s going on.

He jiggled all the courgettes around a bit. Then he took two of the medium-sized ones and made them go out of sight. Then another two, and another two. Then the little courgette disappeared, and finally the two big ones.

I don’t blame you if you don’t get it. We only guessed it because Bimbo inadvertently started to hum the tune.
